On July 31, 2025, the Government of Kenya officially onboarded Isiolo County onto Ardhisasa, the country’s home-grown digital land administration platform. This is according to an announcement by the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning. With Blocks 1–10 of Isiolo now live on the system, the county joins Murang’a, Nairobi and Mombasa on the platform.
With the go-live of Blocks 1-10, Isiolo County land officers and licensees can now use the platform to:
- Apply for searches
- Title Transfers
- Subdivisions
- Leas renewals
- Cautions
- Stamp Duty and
- Other land-related services
The first official transaction on the platform in Isiolo was authorized on the same day.
During a meeting with county land officials in Isiolo, Lands Secretary, Sarah Maina called on landowners in isiolo to register on the platform to enjoy its benefits. She also emphasized the importance of data sharing, public sensitization and cooperation between National and County Governments for the country to realize the platform’s full benefits.
How Many Counties are on Ardhisasa and What’s Next
As of July, 2025 four counties had been rolled out on Ardhisasa. Some counties have only been onboarded partially, others are fully onboarded.

While the onboarding process has been slow since Ardhisasa was launched in 2021. by Kenya’s former president, Uhuru Kenyatta, the process has accelerated in 2025. Hopefully the teething issues have been solved and the governmet is able to move faster and digitize land records across the entire country.

In July, 2025, two more counties; Isiolo and Mombasa went live on Ardhisasa bringing the total number of counties on the platform to four.

What is Ardhisasa?
Ardhisasa is a digital land services platform launched in 2021 by Kenya’s then president Uhuru Kenyatta.
